Human Condition

8.3 light minutes away from the sun,

on a sphere of spinning dirt and weeds,

human kind runs wild and free,

we hack,

we kill,

we love,

we cry,

we are born,

we die,

taking advantage of others,

being taken advantage of,

living,

loving,

lying,

in a circular nature,

sinning, while always searching,

for the eternal truth.

The author's comments:
I look at what humanity has done, all the killing and horrible things we've done to our Earth--it makes me sick. It makes me ashamed to be human. Sometimes, I can find hope though, usually in the perfection of life.
