Sibling rivalry takes charged

Push,

Push,

Push,

Closer and closer to the water
She fights back,

Push,

Push,
Push,

Sand in between your toes
Salty water in your mouth
Waves breaking
Warm sun

Push,

Push,

Push,

I pick her up with all my strength
Ready to throw her in

Smiles of victory
And defeat
While dad snaps a photo

I stand there water splashing
Threatening to throw her in

I Remember last year

Sand in between your toes
Salty water in your mouth
Waves breaking
Warm sun

She picks me up this time
Running to the water

Threatening to throw me in
I’m suddenly brought back
And realize we switched places

This is a poem that I wrote about a picture of my sister and I. My sister is 5 years old then me and while we were at the beach I picked her up and threw her into the water, just a year before this the same thing happened but my sister picked me up.
