Favorite Quote:
"All religion, my friend, is simply evolved out of fraud, fear, greed, imagination, and poetry." Edgar Allan Poe.

Blue waves rush against the slabs of rock
While a couple walks, hands entwined
A playful seal serenades the dock
Soon to be the very last of his kind
Blackening water rushes in
Crashing and crushing all in its way
Metal and water tear at a fin
As the city collides with the bay

Now in ruins the city weeps
While children cling with wary faces
The bloated bodies, the sea keeps
Rescue arrives, restoring the places
The destruction left behind is great
Scars that can never go away
The people burn with a passionate hate
While blue waves play another day

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write about this piece mainly from the time that all the great (meant in a bad way) Tsunamis kept striking all over the globe. I can't imagine what it must have been like to there in that present moment and experiencing the utter terror that went on, so I decided to write a short poem about it.
