Excitement skyrockets.
The entire company rushes to see.

The cast list goes up.
I see my name.
List again, in parenthesis.

The cast list goes up.
My confidence plummets.
My dream part so close, yet so far away.

The cast list goes up.
My tears start to flow.
All I want, is my name listed alone.

The parenthesis haunt me.
Mocking my name.
Jesting.
Jeering.
Laughing at me.

The cast list goes up.
The parenthesis are there.
Making my life a living hell.
