In the time it takes to count to two
In the time it takes to laugh til your blue
In the time it takes to say I love you
You could be gone
In the time it takes to make you happy
In the time it takes to lose your pappy
In the time it takes to write something sappy
In the time it takes to look too nappy
I could lose you
So i could cry
And sit or lie
Or not even try
And possibly die
But I'd rather not lose you
