Dear Devin
My heart races.
My mind screams.
My stomach in agony…
And I don’t want this feeling.
Your voice sends chills down my spine.
Your smile brightens my day,
But the hurtful truth,
Hiding behind those dimples,
Too much to bear.
You’ll lie to my face,
Edging about how much you care.
But we all know the truth,
So why can’t you leave me be?
My throbbing heart, your head the same,
How long until you see?
That I can’t take this anymore.
My wrists are scarred, my heart is torn,
Bloods running down the shower drain.
I just can’t look at you the same.
You’re just a lie,
At least to me.
