I Just Wanna Go Home

Stay in the right lane, let everybody pass me,

Might as well turn, get off of this highway,

Hit the backroads, far away from home.

Just about midnight, pull up to the corner,

Tank flashes empty, turn the key four times, ...

nothing.

People say that on the worst days, the first name, that crosses your mind,

is the one who cares about you, the one who, is there everytime,

I need you here beside me, I know now that I just can't let you go,

I can't stand this anymore.

I just wanna come home.

Stare at your phone, and my name enters the screen,

Answer, just answer.. This isn't what you think..

And suddenly your soft voice floods my ear.

Listen to my voice, you can hear my breathing,

passion, not panick. I'm whispering, not screaming.

Maybe I acted like I was fine without you, but truth is, I never was, I neverr was.

People say that on the worst days, the first name, that crosses your mind,

Is the one who cares about you, the one who, is there everytime,

I need you here beside me, I know now that i just can't let you go,

I can't stand this anymore..

I just wanna come home.

Finally, lights come down the road.

Suddenly, your arms around my shoulder.

Lift me up and hold me tight, this is what i wanted all along.

all along.
