A child's love is
Loving your mother and father
A child's love is
Hugging a pet or stuffed animal
A tween's love is
Hugging your date
An adult's love is
Getting married and having kids

To a child peace is not fighting With older or younger siblings.
To a tween peace is not having
Your parents yell at you
To an adult peace is not having
War on Earth
To an adult peace is not having Problems with you children

To a child beauty is playing
Dress up with friends your age
To a tween there’s fear of who
You are on the inside, and won’t show beauty outside.
To an adult beauty is being who
You are inside
To an adult beauty is being organized in your home.

As a child I saw the world
The same that I do today.
As a child I say things
To my parents like, “That’s mine,” or “Leave me alone”
As a tween I say those things including, “Buzz off”
As a tween I might say things
Like, “You have got to be ******* kidding me”

As a child the abstract adult world Is like a circus to me
As a tween I need help getting ready for life in the abstract world.
As a tween I need help understanding adult stuff like, balancing a checkbook
As an adult I hope that I
Can figure everything out in life.

To a child, life in the abstract world is not always easy
To a tween, adult people
Still have problems understanding life
To a tween, adult people can’t live on their own if they don’t do well in school
To an adult, people can’t always keep a job and it is not their fault

As a tween I realize that being between worlds of concrete and abstract can be painful
As a tween I realize that in the concrete world I still belong
As an adult in the abstract world people will expect more from me.
As an adult in the abstract world
I will have to get rid of my goofiness
