Black birds

September 24, 2010
Attatched to a seemily everlasting string,
Black birds dance swooping through the sky
Elegant and delicate they assume they're flying
Independently
While someone else directs their fate.
Over time they try to

Break Away
Testing the length of their once eternal string
They yarn begins to bare and tangle
Swoops turn into thuds and tugs
And dances into dives
Until the string breaks loose
And life goes on.
