Your brown eyes I get lost in just imagining all the amazing things they’ve seen
And the sound of your voice could make any worry in the world disappear

When I’m with you I can just be myself
I finally feel comfortable in my own skin
Not having to worry about what I need to do to please another or how I need to act

Your impressions can make me laugh even when I’m in the worst moods
I say that I'm over you but at the end of the day I lay in bed and think of your face
I miss you

And after all we’ve been through in the end I want to thank you
I love you

The author's comments:
i wrote this poem for my boyfriend Craig while we were in a relationship. I gave it to him and the day after we broke up. I put the poem in a box deep in my closet. A few months later I decided to take it out and rewrite it so its up to date.
