The Beach

The people closest to me could be a beach-
My younger siblings are the gulls,
Loud and sometimes obnoxious,
But the beach wouldn’t be the same without them.
My close friends are the seashells along the shore,
Each unique and an amazing individual,
to keep your whole life once you find them.
My parents are the watching lifeguards,
Protecting my family and making sure
everything is okay.
And I am myself,
Swimming in the ocean
which we might call life.
It is the perfect beach of my friends and family.
