Numb.
They say there is nothing left to say,
But there is everything.
They said the words would fall from my lips
Hitting the floor,
Unheard,
Unnoticed,
Not recognized.
Because it didn’t happen.
They say there is nothing left to do,
But there is everything.
They say my actions will fail
Leaving me,
Embarrassed,
Ashamed,
And regretful.
They say there is nothing left to hear,
But there is everything.
Over time I have gone deaf.
Words no longer sounding
But crashing.
So hard
Through me .
Its like it wasn’t even said
They say there is nothing left to remember,
And there is nothing.
Over time
All memories
Have fallen
hitting the floor
Failing my thoughts
Crashing through me.
All that was said,
All that was heard,
All remembered,
Is gone.
Just like you.
And you took with me,
The only thing left I had,
And now I am hollow.
The echo sounds within me
Never ending
Just repeating
The moments that never happened
And the dreams that never will
