Sidelines
I’d rather just watch
Hear from the sidelines
So that no one gets hurt
And tears don’t get shed
You sit there and talk to me
Like you can’t tell what’s going on
But if you want to play games
So will I
I can be the joker
You can be the king of hearts
I’ll sit there and make you laugh
While you’re spell tears me apart
Just say it
I think that’s what killing me most
The fact that the air is so tense
And my emotions choke me
Every time I see you
My heart skips a beat
When you notice me
I should probably get in the game
I should probably tell you how I feel
But I won’t because I always play safe
I can’t take a risk
I refuse to
I don’t know where to start
So I’d rather just be quiet
So I think I’d rather just watch
Here from the sidelines
