The Worst Part
You know what the worst part is?
That everyone thinks you are okay.
No one realizes how broken you really are.
No one realizes that time hasn't healed all your wounds.
The worst part is that everyone thinks that you've never wondered.
No one realizes that you've ever doubted.
No one realizes that you do understand what they're going through.
The worst part is that everyone thinks your life has been perfect.
No one realizes the reason you don't cry,
isn't because you have no reason,
but rather,
you have no more tears to cry.
Or that you won't let yourself cry.
The worst part is that you have to hold it all together,
you have to be sure,
you have to be strong,
so that everyone else can lose control,
so that everyone else can doubt,
so that everyone else can be weak.
That's the worst part.
