The pencil is a tool of wisdom
Is a storyteller
Legends, fables,
The tales of heroes,
The saga of diary entries,
Flowing from its tip
Is an artist
Drawing a line
To a sketch
To the next Mona Lisa
And everything in between
Is a historian of past, present, and future
Is a linguist of all dialects
Is a slave to the hand,
Writing only what it’s told to write
Leaving behind a trail
of potential
of endless possibilities
Infinitely
Limited.
