Rain*
The thunder sighs, as it will impatiently deny
this lightning smoldering you and I.
One tree, tall and quivering,
each defined leaf standing out against the crimson skies that are our hearts.
Eyes that are stars, scattered, blink with our heart beat
electrons leaping from cloud to cloud.
Singeing our eye-lashes when we tremble.
Ill hold your hand and shield your lips from the rain.
