She does not see it

Her smile lights up the sun
But she does not see it.
Her eyes gleam with brilliance
But she does not see it.

Her hair sparkles like diamonds
But she does not see it.
Her skin is like velvet
But she does not see it.

Her voice is the flawless mixture of high and low
But she does not hear it.
She sings like an angel
But she does not hear it

She is giving, caring and kind
But she does not see it.
She is beautiful
She thinks she is ugly.

She deserves to see herself for who she really is.
But she never will.
She won’t tell herself she is giving, caring, or kind.
She won’t tell herself she is beautiful.
And I don’t know why.
I really don’t know why.
