The Sun Dare Not

There are several things
The Sun dare not do
For it is not the king

The Sun dare not try
To burn the hearts
Of the creature crying
On rocks apart
A silent dying
The sunning starts
To defy

The Sun had better
Leave alone my dearest
In her warm red sweater
It had best not test
Best not tease
But I tire, and Sun doesn't rest
So cold and old Sun...please
Leave my nest

There are several acts
The Sun dare not try
For it cannot break our backs

The Sun dare not light
The horrors at feet
Where the dawn and darkness meet

The Sun dare not show
The people, crawling
With bodies sprawling
And some are falling
...Oh!

There are several things
The Sun dare not do
Not illuminate my crying
Nor in my arms, dying,
You
