I felt a rush of memories
Of things that were meant to be
I remember whispering goodbye
As I turned the key
I felt a rush of memories
As I walked along the beach
The ocean blue and beckoning
And the sky just out of reach
I felt a rush of memories
As I waited for you to come to me
It seems like I waited for an eternity
Until I could finally be free
I felt a rush of memories
Of times when it seemed like I could fly
I remember letting you go
As I finally said goodbye.
