I live in a time limit
Or various.
I haven’t figured it out yet.
My best friend of 12 years
She lives far away
And each visit
Consists of a brief hello
And a hurtful goodbye
Every time
I can’t escape it
The boy I love
He lives far away
And each visit
Consists of a brief hello
And a confused goodbye
Does he hurt too?
I can’t escape it.
One day, I will escape to a faraway castle
Where I will corral all those I love
So we can live forever
Together
Without interruption
With laughter
And joy.
One day.
