Stretched out
Too far.
Desperate,
Young,
We cling on,
Hoping and Praying,
Clawing on,
To dwindling
Puppy love.
I give in,
Letting the mistakes,
The things about you
That drive me mad.
I let them slide,
Mentally screaming
Ready to burn our love away.
We really did care,
When it all started.
I know we did,
You still do,
I think,
Or maybe you just have
Deluded your young mind.
I’m at a loss on that count.
All I know is…
I’m not sure I still love
