think of the stars—
and the way they cry
it’s a beautiful tangled mess
that no one
can really describe
wailing
for loss
exquisite tears—
glossy pearls—
but if they’re tears of the future
and the past
[they’re really no different form the other—
time is time]
there may as well be hope
in these tears
[think of the future]
hope: (noun) desire accompanied by expectation of or belief in
fulfillment
[yes, you will get out: it will be fulfilled]
…hope.
