Dark,
Foreboding,
Lost,
Through the trees I wander,
Looking for the path,
The path that will lead home,
I pass,
So many false paths,
So many,
I have already taken,
My steps are impossible to retrace,
Everything looks the same,
Lost,
I can hear,
The world mock me,
The laugh of,
The unseen bubbling brook,
The ominous rustle,
Of the dead leaves,
Still Clinging to branches,
The dry snap,
Of the twigs
Beneath my worn feet.
Lost,
The forest,
grows dark,
The wind,
Grows strong,
The rain,
Begins to pour,
Lost,
I wait,
To be found.
