Suck Soap and Cry

June 9, 2010

On the toilet seat
I sat
Scrubbing my tongue
with soap.

On their creamy suds
I choked
As tears fell down
My cheeks.

On the kitchen floor
I stood
Mourning the death
Of children.

On their naughty souls
I pondered
As tears fell down
My cheeks.

On the rocking chair
I sat
Trying desperately
To read.

On their foreign marks
I poured
As tears fell down
My cheeks.

On those days of old
I grieve
My childhood come
And gone.

On those cheeks I cried
And cried
My heart is still
So broken.
