I saw you and you saw me
Together is how we should be
My smile matched yours and yours matched mine
You asked how I was, and I said fine
I asked the same, and you said great
Meeting you was truly fate
Shyly you asked me out for dinner
I felt as if I were the lottery winner
You said, “I’ll pick you up at eight”
I said, "That would be really great"
Tonight would be our last first date.
