6:45, my favorite time of day.
No man’s land
I can do whatever I want.
Past the times of possible scheduled events
today, no schedule
no work
no dance
no piano
no voice
no acting
me, mom, dad
together.
We eat after hours of hunger
we bond over favorite TV plots.
Tea
beer
popcorn
here we are.
It’s warm from fire,
from happiness
from safety.
Soon I’ll be gone
6:45s will just be
6:45.
