Your life is a book that I co-wrote
Page by page I help you turn
Into the adult you soon
Will become.
The binding must be muscular
So the rest will fall
Right into its space,
For without it holes would be
All over the place.
Life is unfamiliar
So you must not forget
To leave space in the margins
To patch up loose ends.
I read and reread this book
That seems to share
The almighty secrets
Your life may convey.
