A Beloved Small Beach Town

Running through the warm sand
Laughing with a smile in your eyes
The sun shining down upon the ocean
Going about in search of shells
Skipping, jumping, rollicking around
Your hair flows with a gentle breeze
You and your mind are at ease
Whispering in your friend’s ear
She nods, and both jump off the pier
Screaming with glee all the way
Into the refreshing blue bay
Floating with the sun in your face
Knowing there is no better place
Than your little small town
