You go your way
I’ll go mine
Maybe someday we can find some middle ground

To meet and remember
The days gone by
And wish that life could be better than it is right now

Hoping that in the future
Our lives will entwine
We can support each other with our love

But life is hard
It never seems to work
And I drift farther away from you

Life never turns out the way we want it to, and often the ones we feel closest to are the ones we end up the farthest from later on.
