New Dawn

The clock struck twelve, midnight in July,
A new life was brought unto the earth.
The doctor was at peace, and took deep breaths,
Because for him the job is done.

The child was a boy, brown hair green eyes.
Just like his father and mother.
The child was the proof of the care in the family.
He brought them together.

The clock struck twelve, midnight in July,
The child turned eight, a new chapter beginning.
A door has opened, and another has shut,
The family however remained strong.

The clock struck twelve, midnight in July,
The child turned sixteen, new responsibilities arriving.
Work came first, along with the wellbeing of his family.
The family grew stronger.

The clock struck twelve, midnight in July,
The child turned twenty-four, a new coming arising.
A new chapter starting, an old sun setting,
He was the only one left of his original family.

The clock struck four, morning dawn in April,
The old story is finished, but not forgotten.
And a new one has just begun.
His new family was born.
