I lie on a beach chair
The cool of the morning
Thaws slowly
Comfortably warm
The sun begins rising
As I try
To rest
Eyelids closed
But the sun is still visible
Beating on my face
Hot and unbearable
As I try
To rest
I can feel the heat lessening
The sky growing darker
The evening breeze
Sweeping across me
As I try
To rest
And then the night comes
Moonlight shines
The cold wind
Gives me goosebumps
As I finally
Rest
The cool of the morning
Thaws slowly
Comfortably warm
The sun begins rising
As I try
To rest
Eyelids closed
But the sun is still visible
Beating on my face
Hot and unbearable
As I try
To rest
I can feel the heat lessening
The sky growing darker
The evening breeze
Sweeping across me
As I try
To rest
And then the night comes
Moonlight shines
The cold wind
Gives me goosebumps
As I finally
Rest
