The room is cold
The machines keep a monotonous pace following her heart beat
1,2,3,4
Her body lays motionless, frozen
Everyone unsure what to say
I’m sorry?
Speaking to her in hopes that she’ll hear
We need you!
Wake up!
Tears stream down faces as guilt factors in
Was it my fault?
Could I have done something?
How could I have changed this?
We try to keep hope but know there’s nothing we can do
3 days have passed
She is gone
I wish she knew how much we cared
