one, two,three, one, two three,
hey hey Wildcat's lets, G-O. G-O,
pause-

shifting,I avert my head to the right,
there you were, sitting on the sidelines with your green and white.
Where did you come from?
I want to know your sign, your name.

Stare,
those eyes, so intense, huge and dark
hollow,
enticed, I fall deep into your pitiless depths
ensnared,
I thought you would let me fall,
face first I was willing to lay,
so intuned into your body, close to you is where I wanted to stay

words,
sweet, bold, everything I wanted hear
promises, desires, camaraderie, chivalry
performed so well, how could I not believe?

Mother,
she bought you up well,
taught you lies and even how to spell,
C-h-e-a-t,
you proved that you could do it better

H-e-a-r-t
exploded, shattered, fragmented
its going to take more than whispered words
to put me together,

embedded,
in your arms, warmth, kisses, and touch
oh how I loved to hear you say my name,
did you ever wonder why I never sighed yours?

Distance,
miles apart your true colors show,
what was the phrase you spake so well,
“I'll never hurt you, my mama taught me better than that”
failed,
in life, love, happiness,
your mother would be ashamed

smiling,
sooner or later you won't be,
alone,
I can promise that
broken,
it's your time to feel what I'm going through
trust,
it doesn't exist,
love,
you wish

spoiled,
everything
how could you blame me for not foretelling,
Your walk that was so smooth,
your talk that was so sweet,
whispering words that made me weak and
sprouting lines that only a mama was suppose to love,
lies,
were these manifestations or demonstrations of what was to come?
Either way, it seems I fail the test,
hurt, in pain, broken, destroyed,
I
still
want
you
