No One Cares

Can’t anyone hear them?
They are calling out.
Begging for salvation.
But we do not listen.
Why should we?
It’s not us that are
Starving
Crying
Dying
No one cares
For their lives and their souls
For their education
For the mothers.
The children.
The hungry, sick children.
Why should we?
We don’t live in Africa
