Daddy's Little Girl

Did you ever think
About how much it
Hurt
About how much it
Killed me
When you would
Leave to go out and
Drink with your new
Girlfriend
It was so little time
That we ever got to see
You
But you would still leave
And every time
I would
Die inside
I always wondered
Was it my fault
Did I do something
Wrong
Didn’t you love me
Enough to stay
What happened to our
Movie nights
Filled with Godzilla and Beetlejuice
You left us every time
And
You still do
But now I know
It’s not my fault
It never was
It was always
Yours
I wont ever ask myself why again
Because even you don’t know the
The answer
Mom said you couldn’t help it
That you loved us but
Not enough
To stay home for two nights
Every couple of weeks
She said you never meant it
But didn’t you realize when
Brother stopped
Coming
That you were hurting us
All I ever wanted was your attention
But now I know that I can never be
Daddy’s little girl
