Ever slowly
Moving like a snail
Regardless of the city's
Rushing constant movement
The world turns slowly
Ever slowly
Moving at it's constant pace
Ticking, tocking
Gently rocking
All the people
Back to sleep
The world turns slowly
Ever slowly
As if at a snail's own pace
We move through each day
We stumble and fall
We cry and we hurt and we
laugh and we love
But the world keeps on turning
Always slowly
Ever slowly
Always moving constantly
