If there is a God, He is infinitely incomprehensible, since, having neither parts nor limits, He has no affinity to us. We are then incapable of knowing either what He is or if He is.... (Blaise Pascal, Philosopher and Mathamatician)

Why do we dream? Of a moonlit night…

calm, evening air sweeping in pale light.
Why do we dream? Of a sun-dappled pool…

with clear, fresh, and bright waters cool.
Why do we dream? Of stoic mountains tall…

never flinching as you hear an eagle’s call.
Why do we dream? Of the ocean deep…

as birds fly above and bold fish leap.
Why do we dream? Of knights in steel…

filled with bravery and righteous zeal.
Why do we dream? Of monsters fierce…

with evil hearts for a hero’s sword to pierce.
Why do we dream? Of lands of old…

of kingly thrones and mythic tale untold.
Why do we dream? Of snowfall pure…

covering all in white and it’s icy glamour.
Why do we dream? Of love’s first kiss…

passionate thoughts and absolute bliss.
Why do we dream? Of why we dream…

Perhaps to show our minds have no extreme.

Concepts inspire me and Dreams are both material and immaterial thus make this a special poem in my mind as it deals with my true love in the art.
