I am your tree.
I hear the whispers of the breeze,
I feel the clouds’ tears.
Though I become scared,
When my leaves begin to fall
You keep me strong,
Showering me with your sunshine,
And helping me through the darkest of times.
My branches remain outstretched,
While my roots try to endure.
This outer shell serves it purpose,
As I slowly begin to approach
The coldest of winters.
The snow will break me down,
While the frost hides my decay,
But I will stand tall and fight,
For you.
When I do finally leave,
Do not ever forget my presence.
Stare at the hole I have left in this earth,
And remember me on those summer days,
Full and vibrant.
Forever more.

I am your sister.
I hear your secrets,
I feel your tears.
Though I become scared,
When my hair begins to fall
You keep me strong,
Showering me with your love,
And helping me through the darkest of times.
My arms remain outstretched,
While my soul tries to endure.
This tough outer shell serves it purpose,
As I slowly begin to approach
The hardest of times.
The pressure will break me down,
While the smiles hide my pain,
But I will stand tall and fight,
For you.
When I do finally leave,
Do not ever forget my presence.
Stare at the void I have left in your life,
And remember me on those summer days,
Happy and young.
Forever more.
