Sandcastles
As I walk along the beach
I see a deserted home
One that is so delicate
I wonder how they lived
The garden is so lovely
And the lake so blue
With windows looking toward the water
Toward the vast ocean blue
The house is like a fairy land
With its gorgeous spires
That are reaching toward the sky
How could anyone leave?
But then that gorgeous blue ocean
Comes and washes it away
And I realize it was just a memory
Of times long ago
When I played in the sand
And made castles of my own.
