My Brooklyn, My Brooklyn

There's something about these streets I dwell
that differs from all else
a dark mystery is hidden deep
that helped me shape myself
My heart is buried in this street
in the cold, hard cement
I wonder what changed me here
and made my character content
The lights in the distance gave me hope
and the bridge showed me strength
I have stood here on this street
for hours and hours in length
My Brooklyn, my Brooklyn
I wish to meet again

I have never been to Brooklyn, but this poem made me feel like it is my home. Very well written! I consider myself drawn to Manhattan, so I understood your attachment to some extent. Well one!
