SMILES
Beach blonde hair.
Bright blue eyes.
Homecoming Queen.
Never ending friends.
The guy of every girls dream.
And a perfect little smile that hid everything.
Dusty old shack.
Worn-out sweatpants.
Autistic brother.
Drunk father and mother.
Taking hits day after day,
But nobody could see.
I guess that smile fooled both you and me.
Just a year later or so.
Flowers are being laid,
Right next to a block of wood.
I guess that was all her parents could afford.
Everyone is crying and thinking once more,
How every little smile has a hidden story,
Waiting to be told.
