oblivious woman
with angst filled morals,
must be the asylum that did her in.

ridiculous poison
flung around the body,
mindlessly consuming her thoughts.

good feelings making her feel inadequate,
uncomfortable and pained.
bad ones being the sweetest,
like a drug.

she constantly wonders,
"why me?"
and the poison lingers.

I wrote this poem for my creative writing class. We had to write a poem using 15 words that we selected/liked. It was hard to combine the 15 random words I had picked, but I ended up liking the piece in the end.
