I hide behind a mask
It seems I always have a smile
Life is tearing me apart
On the inside

It seems I always have a smile
But I'm hurting
On the inside
My heart is broken

But I'm hurting
Scarred for life
My heart is broken
A band-aid won't fix this

Scarred for life
I'll never be the same
A band-aid won't fix this
Keep a smile so they won't see

I'll never be the same
My life is forever changed
Keep a smile so they won't see
How badly they hurt me

My life is forever changed
Life is tearing me apart
How badly they hurt me
I hide behind a mask

I wrote this poem when I was going through alot of friend drama and felt like I had to keep a smile always on my face so I wouldn't show weakness.
