"In the words, I can summarize in three words everything I have learned about life: It goes on."- Robery Frost

I step up to the plate,
the moon shining upon my face.
I am out to prove the doubters wrong.

They said I couldn’t,
but now I did,
and there is only one tiny flicker of doubt.

That one little piece of me,
that listens to the haters,
saying that I can’t,
I won’t,
and that I never will.

But then I remember,
I am the master of my destiny,
and nobody but me
can change that.

I’ve come this far,
and I’m here to leave my mark,
As I step up to the plate.

I always tended to ride the bench during baseball season. This poem was inspired by my urge to prove that I could help, even though I eventually never did.
