She was trapped inside and she knew that she might
not be able to get out soon.
But if she kept waiting she knew that the door
would open eventually.
Waiting for that day to arrive she knew
that the best was yet to come.
Then one day a handsome man appeared,
and to her he said,
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your long hair.
Can’t you see that you need me to save you?
It’s dangerous for a girl to be there,
but you will be safe with me now.
She decided to fight though she knew that she might
not be able to get out soon,
because if she kept waiting she knew that the door
would open eventually.
She knew that if she had patience it would pay off
for the best was yet to come.
So when a handsome man appeared
she had to say to him,
Don’t try to fool me, I won’t let down my hair.
Don’t climb up here, I don’t need to be saved.
I’m safe where I am, if I leave I might fall
so I’m waiting for someone who can catch me.
