I’m a good listener but I don’t understand
The ways of the people, the ways of the land
My mind is set, my intention is clear
To help those who suffer, to help those in fear
The pressures inside add up with zeal
I want to know, I want to feel what they feel
The darkness surrounds them, leaving them alone
While their troubles remain mysteries, remaining unknown
I am a good listener but I can’t understand
The ways of the people, the ways of the land
Live life to its fullest they all seem to say
But they all wait in longing for the event of that day-
