Why is it

Every time I see you my heart soars
I want to run to you but my feet won’t move
My heart just skipped a beat
But it doesn’t surprise me
Since you just smiled at me
Can’t you hear my heart slow down
Or at least see my feet taking longer
As they edge toward the ground
I know you love me… as a friend
I make you laugh and smile
