Childish summers pass by,
Days at the beach,
Weeks with friends,
Playing out side with the neighborhood kids.
Falls come,
Leaves float slowly to the ground,
School starts,
Jackets come out.
Preteen winters drag on,
Sledding on the freshly fallen snow,
Coffee and hot chocolate to school,
Heavy coats or colds.
Teenage springs arrive,
Trees gain leaves,
Minds filled with imaginary romances,
Jacket come out while heavy coats disappear.
Waiting,
For college years to arrive.
