I won't be left behind

Trying to fit in since the sixth grade,
The idea of being unique began to fade,
Having to have perfect lips, hair, & skin,
Needing everything is such a sin
Choosing not to care about my friends,
because
I won't be left behind,
I can't dye my hair or wear just any jeans,
this is just life of teens
i have to listen to the same music and watch the same shows,
I am me, everyone knows,
I once said I won't be left behind,
I want to be unique,
So the choice is mine
