Two-Faced
Most of the time, I am vibrant turquoise!
Energetic and vivacious,
Strong and encouraging,
Daring and proud,
Ready to ride this world wearing my optimistic hat.
But there are those days when the vibrant turquoise fades to dusty grey.
I am lonely and fragile,
Self-conscious and melancholy,
Pathetic and lethargic,
Anxious for no apparent reason.
At any moment I could break like fallen glass.
Though these colors differ as David and Goliath,
They make up who I am.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way!
